365 CHALLENGE: DAY TWENTY NINE

WE DON'T HAVE A TABLE IN OUR SITTING ROOM. WE USE THIS OLD TRUNK INSTEAD. IT'S SORT OF BIG AND VERY BATTERED BUT WE STORE LOTS OF STUFF INSIDE AND IT GIVES US A VERY GOOD SERVICE. WE'RE MORE THAN HAPPY WITH THIS PRESENT FROM MY MOTHER IN LAW.

365 CHALLENGE: DAY TWENTY TWO

TAKING A LONG, HOT BATH IS ONE OF MY GUILTY PLEASURES. OBVIOUSLY I HAVE TO RESIGN MYSELF TO QUICK DAILY SHOWERS, BUT MY FAVOURITE L'OCCITANE PRODUCTS STILL WAIT PATIENTLY FOR THE MOMENT I NEED THEM.

THIRD WEEKLY SUMMARY

365 CHALLENGE: DAY TWENTY ONE

ALL THAT IS GOLD DOES NOT GLITTER,
NOT ALL THOSE WHO WANDER ARE LOST;
THE OLD THAT IS STRONG DOES NOT WITHER,
DEEP ROOTS ARE NOT REACHED BY THE FROST.

365 CHALLENGE: DAY NINETEEN

BEST HUSBAND EVER OR BEST HUSBAND EVER?

HE BROUGHT ME THIS BECAUSE IT'S BEEN A PRETTY ROUGH WEEK, AND HE KNOWS CHOCOLATE MAKES EVERYTHING EASIER.

I DON'T DESERVE HIM, REALLY.

365 CHALLENGE: DAY SEVENTEEN

STONE WALLS DO NOT A PRISON MAKE,
NOR IRON BARS A CAGE;
MINDS INNOCENT AND QUIET TAKE
THAT FOR AN HERMITAGE;
IF I HAVE FREEDOM IN MY LOVE
AND IN MY SOUL I'M FREE,
ANGELS ALONE, THAT SOAR ABOVE,
ENJOY SUCH LIBERTY.

365 CHALLENGE: DAY FIFTEEN

I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF THESE JARS. ALL I KNOW IS THAT THEY USED TO BELONG TO MY LATE GRANDMOTHER. THEY'RE MADE OF SOME KIND OF WROUGHT METAL, AND THE DETAIL ALWAYS REMINDS ME OF THESE OLD BROCADE JACKETS AND GOWNS, SO WONDERFUL AND RICH.

ALL IMAGES BUT THE FIRST ONE BELONG TO MISS PANDORA

365 CHALLENGE: DAY ELEVEN

I'M INSANELY FOND OF THAT LAMP. IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN, IT'S ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS WE BOUGHT WHEN WE STARTED TO DECORATE OUR PLACE.

THE ART IS AN ORIGINAL PIECE FROM 1978, INDIAN INK ON WHITE PAPERBOARD, BY J.L. MATÉ.

I'M STARTING TO REALIZE THAT MOST OF OUR WALLS ARE BARE, AND THE STUDIO IS ALMOST THE ONLY PLACE WHERE WE HAVE ART. FUNNY, THAT.

365 CHALLENGE: DAY NINE

THOSE ARE A FEW BOTTLES FROM MY COLLECTION. MOST OF THEM AREN'T WORTH MUCH, BUT SOME ARE FROM THE BEGINNING OF LAST CENTURY. MY FATHER FOUND THREE OLD ONES IN OUR DUSTY WINE CELLAR, AND MY MOTHER IN LAW GAVE ME FOUR THAT BELONGED TO HER FATHER. THEY ARE AMAZING.

365 CHALLENGE: DAY EIGHT

Our old Phillips radio in the studio. It belonged to the Husband's grandparents, and it still works.

365 CHALLENGE: DAY THREE

Resting on top of my vintage Joe Colombo's Boby 3, there is a framed picture of Benjamin Lacombe's Snow White. I adore his work, so evocative, so disquieting... I have some of his books, and they're amazing.

I love this little corner of my studio, I spend a lot of time there everyday. Now, just in order to really complete it, I think I need a Uten Silo storage unit.

 In fiery red, obviously.
